Family-Based Immigration
We help keep families together here in the United States and we also help clients living in the U.S. to reunite with family members living abroad. For those already living in the U.S., the process is called “adjustment of status.” A family member who is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident files a petition with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the beneficiary files an application to adjust status. When done properly, the beneficiary is granted permanent residency without ever having to leave the U.S. The process is different when the beneficiary is outside the U.S. In that case, the beneficiary applies for an immigrant visa at a U.S. consular post abroad.
In order to determine what is the right process for you and your loved ones, you need the help of experienced immigration counsel who can help guide you through the process. We walk you through the process, advising you every step of the way, including representing you and your spouse at the green card interview.
